If your latest can of Nordic Spirit looks a little different from the one you normally buy, don't worry – the brand has introduced a new look across its nicotine pouch range.
Nordic Spirit has redesigned its packaging with bolder colours, a new strength rating system and clearer information to help customers distinguish between its Moist and Dry nicotine pouches. For some products, including Raspberry and Sweet Mint, there's an even more noticeable change: a smaller, slimmer can that's considerably more pocket-friendly than the traditional Nordic Spirit format.

There are plenty of visual changes, but Nordic Spirit says the important things haven't changed. Existing flavours and nicotine strengths remain the same, so if you already have a favourite, the new packaging doesn't mean you need to start searching for an alternative.
Nordic Spirit's New Can Design
The most obvious difference is the appearance of the packaging with Nordic Spirit moving towards brighter, bolder colours that make the different products easier to distinguish. The new design also incorporates the brand's North Star identity and introduces a redesigned nicotine strength rating scale.
Perhaps the most useful addition, however, is the clearer Moist and Dry labelling so that rather than simply choosing a flavour and nicotine strength, Nordic Spirit is making the type of pouch a much more visible part of the decision. That's important because Moist and Dry pouches can provide noticeably different experiences, even when they're from the same brand.

For existing customers, the main message is simple: new look, familiar products. Nordic Spirit states that the redesign hasn't changed its established flavours or nicotine strengths.
A New Smaller Nordic Spirit Can
Some of the new-look Nordic Spirit products also come in a significantly more compact can.
The new smaller cans used for products including Raspberry and Sweet Mint measure approximately 58mm in diameter and 17mm tall. For comparison, a regular Nordic Spirit can is approximately 70mm in diameter and 19.5mm tall.
That 12mm reduction in diameter might not sound enormous on paper, but it represents a considerable reduction in the overall footprint of the can.
The result is a slimmer package that's easier to slip into a trouser or jacket pocket and takes up less space in a bag. Nordic Spirit describes its redesigned cans as having a slimmer profile, softer angles and a more premium and comfortable feel in the hand.
So, if you've ordered your usual Raspberry or Sweet Mint and received a can that looks considerably smaller than expected, it isn't necessarily the wrong product or a smaller pouch count. It's part of Nordic Spirit's new packaging direction.
Moist and Dry Is Now Easier to Identify
One of the most significant changes to Nordic Spirit's packaging is the introduction of prominent Moist and Dry labelling.
The distinction is more than a piece of branding. Moisture content affects how a nicotine pouch feels under your lip and how quickly its flavour and nicotine begin to release.
Nordic Spirit's Moist pouches contain additional moisture, giving them a softer and slightly fuller or spongier feel. Because moisture is already present in the pouch, flavour begins releasing quickly after it's placed under the lip.

Dry pouches contain less moisture and therefore start with a firmer, more compact texture. They rely more on moisture from your mouth to activate the contents of the pouch, resulting in a more gradual flavour and nicotine release.
Neither format is inherently better, they're simply different experiences.
What Should You Expect When Switching from Dry to Moist?
If you've previously used Nordic Spirit's Dry pouches and are trying one of the Moist varieties for the first time, there are a few differences you may notice.
The first is texture. Moist pouches have a softer and more flexible feel from the outset, whereas a dry pouch begins firmer and gradually softens while it's being used.
The second is flavour release. Because a moist pouch doesn't need as much moisture from your mouth before its ingredients begin to dissolve, the flavour can arrive much more quickly and may initially seem more pronounced.
You'll probably also notice a difference in duration. Nordic Spirit says its Dry pouches typically last around 15–20% longer than its Moist alternatives because of their slower activation. Dry pouches also tend to produce less "drip", the liquid sensation that can develop while a pouch is being used.
If you've switched to a Moist Nordic Spirit product and found that it feels softer, develops flavour more quickly or produces a little more moisture during use, that's therefore expected rather than an indication that something is wrong with the pouch.
Which Nordic Spirit Flavours Are Moist and Dry?
The expanded choice means it's worth checking the new Moist or Dry indicator rather than assuming every Nordic Spirit pouch behaves in exactly the same way.
Nordic Spirit currently lists Sweet Mint, Raspberry, Frosty Mint, Forest Berries, Tropical Mix, Blueberry and Dark Fizz as part of its Moist range.
Its Dry range includes Spearmint, Mint and Watermelon.
That means customers can now consider three main characteristics when choosing a Nordic Spirit pouch: flavour, nicotine strength and moisture level.
If you prefer a softer pouch with a faster, more pronounced flavour release, the Moist range may be more suited to your preferences. If you prefer a firmer and more compact pouch with a slower flavour development, longer-lasting experience and lower drip level, you may prefer the Dry range.
What About the Nicotine Strengths?
The redesigned packaging also introduces a new strength rating scale, but this shouldn't be confused with Nordic Spirit changing the nicotine strength of your existing favourite.
Nordic Spirit has specifically confirmed that its established nicotine strengths remain unchanged as part of the packaging redesign. The new scale is intended to make navigating the range clearer.
As always, it's worth checking the actual milligrams of nicotine per pouch rather than relying solely on visual strength indicators when comparing nicotine products. Strength scales aren't necessarily comparable between different manufacturers, whereas the stated nicotine content gives you a much clearer indication of what you're buying.
Same Nordic Spirit, More Choice
Ultimately, Nordic Spirit's redesign is about making an increasingly varied product range easier to navigate.
The colourful new cans and North Star branding give the range a noticeably different appearance, while the new strength scale and prominent Moist/Dry labels provide customers with more useful information when deciding which pouch to choose.
The smaller can format appearing on products such as Raspberry and Sweet Mint is another noticeable development, particularly if you're accustomed to Nordic Spirit's traditional 70mm cans. At just 58mm across and 17mm tall, the new format is substantially more compact and convenient to carry.
For existing Nordic Spirit customers, though, there's no need to worry when the new packaging starts arriving in your order. The cans may look different – and some may be considerably smaller – but Nordic Spirit's familiar flavours and nicotine strengths remain.
What has changed is the amount of choice and the information available to help you navigate it. Whether you prefer the quicker flavour release and softer feel of a Moist pouch or the slower, lower-drip experience of a Dry pouch, the new-look range makes it much easier to know exactly what you're choosing.
