UBBS Moves to a New Six-Dot Strength Scale
If you regularly buy UBBS nicotine pouches, you may notice something different about the cans arriving over the coming weeks and months.
UBBS is currently updating its product labels to introduce a consistent six-dot strength system across the range.
Strength dots are intended to provide a quick visual indication of where a particular product sits within a manufacturer's range. However, as UBBS has introduced new products with higher nicotine strengths, its existing system needed more room at the upper end of the scale.
The solution is a revised scale running all the way from one to six dots.

New at Snus Vikings: UBBS Ice Cold and UBBS Cucumber
The new strength system isn't the only UBBS news.

UBBS Cucumber, meanwhile, takes things in a rather different direction. Its arrival therefore provides another option for customers who enjoy trying flavours outside the usual categories.
Together, the two products demonstrate the increasingly broad flavour choices appearing within the UBBS range – one firmly rooted in the established cooling category and the other offering something less conventional.
VELO Wintery Watermelon Zero Joins the Range
There's also something new from VELO, although this one comes with an important difference.
VELO Wintery Watermelon Zero contains 0 mg of nicotine.
Wintery Watermelon Zero combines watermelon with a cooling mint note, but does so in a completely nicotine-free pouch. VELO lists it as a slim-format product containing 20 pouches per can, with both nicotine per gram and nicotine per pouch stated as 0 mg.
That makes it an interesting addition alongside conventional nicotine-containing products. It retains the familiar pouch format and flavour-led approach of the wider VELO family without delivering nicotine.
The flavour itself combines the sweeter, fruitier character of watermelon with peppermint for a cooler finish rather than offering watermelon on its own.
With fruit-and-ice combinations already well established within nicotine pouches, Wintery Watermelon Zero provides a way to get that flavour profile in a nicotine-free format.
ELF Is Changing: An Upgraded Range Arrives at Snus Vikings
One of the bigger changes concerns ELF. Rather than simply adding a couple of flavours to the existing selection, a new generation of ELF pouches is replacing the current products, with changes being made throughout the range.
The updated products are made in Switzerland and use a new, upgraded formula. The pouch itself has also been redesigned around an ultra-smooth, extra-soft format, with the intention of providing a softer feel while in use.
There are changes to the release characteristics too. According to the product specifications, the new formula has been designed for fast nicotine release beginning at around 10 seconds, while providing a sensation that can last for up to one hour.
Actual experience and duration will naturally vary between users, but together the changes represent a substantial update rather than simply a packaging redesign.
For existing ELF customers, that distinction is worth knowing. As the new products replace the previous versions, familiar ELF names and flavours may now come with a different pouch and formula from the products you've bought before.

The revised ELF range also brings a broad selection of flavour profiles.
There are six options:
Max Polar Mint takes care of the cooling end of the range, while Blueberry Raspberry combines two familiar berry flavours. Grape Ice adds a cooling element to a sweeter grape profile, with Pineapple providing the tropical fruit option.
The two more unusual additions are Matcha Latte and Energy Bull.
Matcha Latte moves away from the fruit-and-mint combinations that dominate much of the nicotine pouch category, offering a flavour inspired by the distinctive tea-based drink. Energy Bull, meanwhile, takes its inspiration from the familiar sweet flavour profile associated with energy drinks.
Perhaps more importantly, customers won't have to choose a flavour based on the nicotine strength available.
All six flavours are being offered at 6 mg, 12 mg and 20 mg per pouch.
That creates a straightforward three-tier range and means someone who prefers, for example, Blueberry Raspberry can select it at an appropriate point on the ELF strength scale rather than having to change flavour simply to move up or down in nicotine content.
The difference between 6 mg and 20 mg per pouch is substantial, so checking the strength before ordering remains particularly important. Higher-strength nicotine pouches are intended for experienced nicotine users and aren't automatically a better choice simply because they contain more nicotine.
More Choice – and More Changes to Come
These latest arrivals show just how quickly the nicotine pouch market continues to develop.
For UBBS, expanding into higher-strength products has prompted a rethink of the visual system used across the entire range. The move to six dots should ultimately make comparisons between UBBS products easier, even if customers encounter a mixture of old and new packaging while the change is being rolled out.
At VELO, the arrival of Wintery Watermelon Zero represents a different kind of expansion, bringing a watermelon-and-mint option with no nicotine at all.
